Install
Install Libra with Homebrew or the official installer script
Install
Official Installer
Alternatively, use the official installer:
curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -sSf https://download.libra.tools/install.sh | sh
macOS Prerequisites
The installer verifies the download with an Ed25519-signed manifest, which requires OpenSSL 3+ (stock macOS ships LibreSSL, which does not support Ed25519). If the installer fails at the verify stage with signature verifier unavailable, install OpenSSL via Homebrew and re-run the installer:
# Check: must report OpenSSL 3+/4+, not LibreSSL
openssl version
# If it reports LibreSSL, install OpenSSL and re-run the installer in the same shell
brew install openssl@3
which -a openssl # /opt/homebrew/bin/openssl should come first
[!WARNING] Do not use
LIBRA_ALLOW_FALLBACK=1as the workaround — it skips Ed25519 signature verification entirely.
Homebrew
Install Libra with Homebrew on macOS or Linux:
brew tap libra-tools/libra
brew install libra
Verify
Verify the installation:
libra --version
libra --help
If you prefer to review the installer before running it:
curl -fsSL https://download.libra.tools/install.sh
